Psychological Services and Consultation
GET TO KNOW ME
I am a clinical psychologist currently practicing in Hong Kong using three different languages - Cantonese, Mandarin and English. I was previously trained in the United States where I had years of clinical experiences working with a multicultural population and coming into contact with people of various ages, genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations, religions and socioeconomic statuses. I also have rich experiences working in multiple settings including university counseling, outpatient community mental health, substance abuse day treatment, homeless shelter, child and adolescent county clinic and the school district.

I am specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based treatment for many psychological conditions. I adopt an integrative approach primarily using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory and Mindfulness-based Treatment. My way of conceptualization is significantly influenced by Psychodynamic and Family Systems theories which particularly offer deep insights into understanding most of the psychological conditions.

I see psychotherapy as a space for one to fully embrace autonomy and exercise authority to grow. Meanwhile, I aspire to work with the client as a team to collaboratively foster greater understanding into one's mental status. I see that one is an inseparable part of the society and is always in constant communication with the external environment. As a result, I take into serious consideration how the context and cultural elements have shaped one's sense of identity and perception toward the world.
